Even the youngest hearts can choose to be philanthropists. Meet Mason, who, despite not living locally, is deeply connected to his grandparents. Last year, during the hurricanes, his concern for their safety inspired him to find a meaningful distraction. He channeled his energy into helping animals in need.

When he recently visited them, he proudly shared the results of his hard work: a monetary donation, a bag of new toys for enrichment, and puppy pads. To Mason’s delight, a group of our playful puppies was waiting in the front play yard, ready to enjoy the toys right away! The tethered tennis balls were quite a hit.

Philanthropy is not just for adults; it thrives in children’s hearts too. Thank you, Mason, for showing such remarkable kindness at 10 years old. Many children your age would have chosen to spend that money on themselves.
