Rob Andrews’ personal mission is to provide the highest level of care for the animals in our system and to mitigate the emotional trauma to the best of my ability. His passion is getting to see dogs be who they want to be, helping humans understand how to communicate with them and trying to bring some joy to their shelter journey. His official sounding specialty is a dog behavior specialist who’s focus is aggression rehabilitation and social behavior in shelter environment.

For the past 20 years, he has been passionately dedicated to working with dogs, and for about a decade, immersing himself in animal sheltering. Starting his journey as a kennel technician at a rural shelter in Thomasville, GA, where he encountered the challenging realities of animal welfare, including high euthanasia rates and limited resources. This experience ignited his drive to learn and help improve the situation for these wonderful animals.

His journey took an exciting turn when I attended a Dogs Playing For Life seminar at a local shelter. Instantly falling in love with their innovative programs! Soon after, he joined the Canine Center of Florida in Lake City as a handler, where he learned from talented leaders, including the CEO and master trainers. They equipped him with a treasure trove of dog training techniques. He has also had the incredible opportunity to run seminars nationwide, helping introduce various organizations to the transformative playgroup programming that allows dogs to thrive. Rob is truly optimistic about the positive impact we can make together for our furry friends!

He resides at home with his wife and 5 dogs, currently from 8 months to 18 years old, all rescues all different breeds and sizes!
